meet the photographer
I’d like to say I burst onto the photography scene, but learning its craft was more like wading in and falling in love. What started out in college as a side job gradually replaced my full-time counseling gig. My Papa was a photographer at the University of Texas for 40 years and I like to think he passed down some of his creative talent to me.
Outside of photography I enjoy painting, sewing, decorating, learning French, and creating with my kids. On most days you’ll find me enjoying a cup of tea, editing photos, and keeping up with the kiddos. I’m a native Texan who loves to travel, but feel most at home with my husband Brad. We make our home with three effervescent girls in Trophy Club, Texas.
a word to the young artists
Be bold. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Learn from failures and keep trying. Surround yourself with people who encourage, inspire, and challenge your artistry, and cultivate the humility to ask others to help you grow.
