KINGWOOD HURRICANE RELIEF | TX Letterpress Print

12.00

100% of the proceeds from these A6 (4.5"x6.25")  limited edition letterpress prints will go to helping my community of Kingwood, TX get back up on their feet.

I'm sure you've seen the gravity of this situation all over the news, through social media, or with your own eyes if you're down here. So much has happened to my town of Kingwood, a suburb of Houston, and now we are challenged with rebuilding our town after Harvey hit us; hundreds of homes, our town center full of so many businesses we all frequent, and the high school, were all hit. A big need within our community is funding to make all the necessary repairs to restore these homes and businesses. After Harvey passed, people near and far began demo work here to remove everything that got wet out of the homes and businesses. Moving forward, it's not just muscle we need, it's funding. Funds to repair and provide supplies for those who didn't have flood insurance. Some did, but since this was deemed an 800 year flood, so many did not, and are having to figure out these repairs out of pocket AND continue to pay a mortgage on a flooded home. Can you imagine?

That is why this print series is so dear to me. It will directly help the people in my community.

This print is of Texas made of tiny raindrops on handmade turquoise paper, crafted by Farmette Press in Kansas City, MO on her farm. Loren was so dear to donate her time, craft, letterpress, and materials to this project, so 100% of the sales will pay it forward to our neighbors here in Kingwood.
